This Sunday, we had the privilege of hearing from Paul Pyle as he shared about a crucial truth about Jesus - His ascension to the throne of God.

Summary: The sermon explored the often-overlooked doctrine of Christ's ascension, revealing it as the climactic moment when the Son took His rightful place at the Father's right hand. Through Daniel's ancient vision and Luke's eyewitness account, we discovered that the ascension wasn't simply Jesus floating away into the sky, but His coronation as King over all creation. This truth has profound implications for our spiritual life - it means we have a sympathetic High Priest who intercedes for us, a sovereign King who rules over world affairs, and a faithful Lord who will return to make all things right.

Takeaways:

• Jesus is perfectly positioned to pray for us in our weakness. Because He remains fully God and fully man, seated at the Father's right hand, He understands our struggles and speaks to the Father on our behalf with empathy and authority.

• Christ reigns over all nations and world events. When headlines about China, Iran, artificial intelligence, or political turmoil make us anxious, we can remember that the One seated in heaven laughs at the schemes of earthly powers. Our King controls the levers of history, not corrupt elites.

• The status quo has an expiration date. Jesus will return just as He left - visibly, powerfully, gloriously. Every knee will bow, including those who now rage against Him. This certain hope should comfort us in troubled times and motivate us to live faithfully.

As we navigate these anxious times, let's not be forgetful of who Jesus truly is. When worry creeps in, may we lift our eyes to see our ascended King ruling in majesty and wisdom, working all things for our good and His glory.

Seems early, but yes, our Community Egg Hunt is quickly approaching.  It will take place on Saturday, March 28.  Registration will begin at 10:30; Egg Hunt at 11; lunch, prizes, and activities afterwards.  

There are lots of eggs for you to take tomorrow in the Welcome Center.  Please take some, fill them with candy or prizes; tape them; and write on paper how many you filled, and return to church.

There will be sign up sheets in the Welcome Center the following week for you to donate various items for lunch, plus we will need lots of help for set up and tear down.  We would also love to have some of you come and just hang out with and talk to adults.  We want to make them feel welcome, plus invite them to our Easter Sunday Breakfast and Service and VBS.  To just give them information about our church.  

We especially want to begin now, praying for God to do great things, and ask Him how we can be involved this year.

Join us as we participate in 3-Fold Communion:
The Love Feast - We will share a meal together as we remember the passover meal and look forward to the marriage supper of the lamb.
Foot Washing - We will particpate in serving one another through foot washing just as Jesus did with his disciples.
The Bread and The Cup - Those who have put their trust in Jesus are welcome to join us as we take of the bread and the cup.
